Staging

Staging in the 12 principals of animation is the act of directing the audiences attention. Johnston and Thomas, the founders of the principals defined staging as "the presentation of any idea so that it is completely and unmistakably clear". staging can be done through camera angle, placement of the character, and the use of light and shadow.
